5.3 Personnel, Funding, and Facilities

The Vela Middle School library is a very lively, comfortable place for students to work and socialize in, but I found that the library is currently at an acceptable rating based on the number of computers, librarians, and books per students. Because of this, I built a plan on how it would become exemplary by hiring a paraprofessional and an additional librarian, updating and purchasing new computers, and purchasing more books. By updating the computers routinely and increasing library personnel I will be increasing accessibility to all users of the library and improving circulation and usage. The plan demonstrates my ability to continue to make improvements on the library and enhance the resources available to students, staff, and community.
